TransPak’s executive leadership compiles hundreds of years of experience in crating, packaging, and logistics, empowering Transpak to go above and beyond to fulfill our customer’s needs and to Make It Happen.
CEO of TransPak since 2007, Bert Inch originally joined the firm in 1985 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Political Economics from UC Berkeley. In his 30 years at TransPak, Bert has worked on all aspects of operations, from sales and customer service to production and quality control. Since 1996, when Bert became President, TransPak has focused on creating exceptional service that surpasses customer expectations. Bert has developed an experienced leadership team that has helped build the operation in many ways. He values constructing strong relationships, and this is evident in the way the TransPak team works closely and efficiently both within the organization and outside of it, with clients and the community. Since Bert joined the TransPak management team, the company has expanded to do business worldwide in a wide range of services including packaging, crating and transportation. At the same time, Bert’s energy, creativity and dedication to customer service have made him a leader in the industry.
Arlene Inch
Chairwoman
Arlene Inch is the Chairwoman of TransPak, which the Inch Family acquired in 1969. TransPak is a global leader in packaging, crating, material control, supply chain and transportation logistics. Over the company’s history, Arlene has fulfilled any and all roles necessary to further TransPak’s mission. Arlene’s innate ability for risk management and identifying strategic growth options have been critical factors in TransPak’s International progress. Today the company operates in 65+ locations with 3,000+ team members and a host of international partners.
Arlene’s everlasting optimism is infectious beyond the TransPak family and pours into our communities–she is currently a board member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBEC Pacific Board). Arlene also holds a positions on the Board of the Bay Area Tumor Institute (BATI), as well as the American Film Institute National Council and the San Francisco Opera.
Keith Wolf
EVP Asia Operations
Keith began his career with TransPak in 1993, as Night Shift Packaging Foreman, and moved into our sales and engineering department in 1994. A consistent top performer and always willing to take on more responsibility, Keith developed a deep understanding of this unique business and became an integral part of the Executive Management team. In early 2002, he opened TransPak’s first satellite operation in Oregon. Since then, he has managed the opening of six more satellite facilities, four of which are in Asia. Keith leverages his knowledge of our business protocol and strategy to continually look for ways that TransPak can expand and remain a premier supplier to the global high-tech Industry. Keith earned his BS in Industrial Design at Western Washington University in 1986.
Rene Corona
EVP Mexico Operations
Rene brought robust background and international expertise when he joined the TransPak team in 2004. With over 36 years in the Packaging and Crating industry, Rene’s experience spans from hands-on production to engineering and design all the way to sales, where his performance drove record-breaking levels. Rene played a pivotal role guiding international operations and has managed facilities in Mexico and Taiwan. Rene opened TransPak’s Singapore facility and manages the operation. Rene holds a Packaging Technology certification from San Jose State University in San Jose, California, as well as one in Packaging Engineering from Lansmont Engineering in Monterey, California. He is a proud member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals and is certified as a Packaging Professional and also in Hazardous Material Packaging.
Alex Kummer has been with TransPak since 2016 and serves as the EVP of Western US Operations, where he oversees regional P&L, team management, and manufacturing strategies. Throughout his tenure, he’s launched two new greenfield sites, integrated two acquisitions, and maximized manufacturing efficiencies at countless acilities.
With undergraduate degrees in Business and History from Loyola Marymount University and an MBA from the University of Oregon, Alex spent time in the world of finance and accounting prior to joining TransPak and diving into operations management. He has over 15 years of experience, including 8 in the packaging industry. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and two dogs, and is passionate about ice hockey, golfing, and hunting.
Tomas Molet, EVP of East & Midwest US Operations, has been with TransPak since 2018. He is responsible for managing regional profitability and manufacturing strategies across the eastern and midwestern US. During his time at TransPak, he’s overseen the development of TransPak’s East Coast regional footprint while driving profitability at key sites and developing effective COVID risk management strategies.
Tomas holds an MS in Engineering and Supply Chain from MIT and an MBA from Politecnico di Milano. Before joining TransPak, he spent 4 years at Tesla managing projects worth over $350 million by leading the packaging strategy for key products. Tomas touts over 20 years of industry experience and 11 years in packaging, holding additional previous roles at Volkswagen and ExxonMobil. Outside of work, he enjoys tennis, golf, and spending time with his wife and three kids.
Laura Pochop
Chief of Staff
Laura joined TransPak in 2018 as its first Chief of Staff. She has more than 25 years of operating experience in entrepreneurship and scaling growth companies. She launched and owns a specialty market in the East Bay, and has also served as a CFO, COO and CEO in the advertising, automotive and education industries. Laura began her career as a management consultant at Bain & Company, developing strategies for Fortune 500 corporations in the packaged food, paper manufacturing, and airline industries. She has written cases on entrepreneurship for Harvard Business School and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, and has extensive experience in writing business plans for successful startups. Before joining TransPak, Laura was a Partner at EMA Partners, a boutique investment banking firm providing mergers and acquisition advice to CEOs and owners of middle-market companies. She holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and a BA in Economics from Brown University.
Kiernan joined TransPak in 2018 and is currently the Vice President of Global Business Operations. He brings over a decade of leadership and strategic operations experience, having served as an Officer in the Army. Holding an MBA from the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business and various certifications, Kiernan is an expert at managing business growth, navigating supply chains, and building impactful teams.
At TransPak, Kiernan has contributed to TransPak’s growth and success by establishing new facilities, leading acquisitions across the globe, and nurturing critical customer relationships by shepherding robust enterprise account management strategies across the organization.
Elizabeth has been with TransPak since 2021 and is currently serving as the Vice President of Finance & Accounting, where she leads TransPak’s Global Finance and Accounting teams. She is a licensed CPA in Oregon and got her MBA from Williamette University. She has 16 years of experience in both private and public entities as well as international and multi-state corporations. Elizabeth began her career at the Aldrich Group where she managed engagements and billings for more than 20 clients with size ranging from $15 million to $900 million in annual revenue. She went on to lead teams responsible for multiple M&A transactions, an initial public offering, and a comprehensive ERP implementation at several leading manufacturers. Elizabeth builds effective, cohesive teams and focuses them on proactive improvement of key functional areas using data driven decision-making and collaborative leadership skills. When she’s not at TransPak, she enjoys chasing after her two young children and traveling abroad with her family.
Scott has been with TransPak since 2021 and is currently serving as the Vice President of Financial Operations, where he leads TransPak’s Global Procurement, Accounts Payable, IT, ERP, and ESG teams. He received an Executive MBA from the University of Oregon and Bachelor of Arts degrees in supply chain and logistics management as well as marketing from Portland State University.
He has over 15 years of experience in both private and public international corporations. Scott began his career at Daimler, sourcing major components for Mercedes, Freightliner, Western Star, and Mitsubishi Fuso vehicles.
Scott went on to manage body electronics, lead continuous cost improvement consulting for the global manufacturing sites and suppliers, and finished his Daimler career as the Global Electronics Lead Buyer with responsibility for autonomous driving, cyber security, active safety systems, and associated software.After his time at Daimler, Scott held multiple positions at the global medical device company, Smith & Nephew.
Scott established and led high-performing teams across the robotics, sports medicine, wound, and orthopedics franchises and received the global impact award for his leadership on the rapid supply chain setup of Covid-19 ventilators.
Scott prides himself on developing teams to achieve outstanding results and transforming systems and processes to increase efficiency without compromising quality.
Leilani Arendell
Chief Logistics Officer
A seasoned supply chain expert, Leilani’s broad experience in domestic and international transportation augments her in-depth understanding of industry trends, government regulations and process efficiency. Leilani launched TransPak’s logistics operation in 1998 and since then has driven double-digit revenue growth each year. In addition, Leilani manages TransPak’s warehousing operation. By earning a CCSF certification, she enabled multiple unique solutions for TransPak’s importers and exporters for their freight, general pick and pack operations as well as warehouse fulfillment. Leilani is certified as a Specialist in Customs Export and Import Procedures. She’s also a specialist in TSA Air Cargo Screening and Training for Physical, X-ray Technology ETD systems.
Ray Horner joined TransPak in 2007 and is the Executive Vice President of Crating, where he leads efforts to understand and meet customer crating needs across all platforms. Ray has played a pivotal role as the company has grown revenue by 10X, achieved ISO certification, improved our safety rating 3X, and developed proprietary manufacturing software.
Ray holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Supply Chain Management. He began his packaging career in 1987 and has since held executive roles in various national and international companies. Outside of work, Ray is a husband and a father, and enjoys traveling, fitness training, hiking, motorcycling, and restoring classic cars.
David Forrest has been with TransPak since 2022 as Senior Vice President of Packaging & Foam. He oversees all aspects of TransPak’s global packaging business, including Sales, Project Management and Sourcing. David is particularly proud to support his team’s career development and play a role in their professional growth.
David earned his BA in Marketing & Entrepreneurship from Whittier College and holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from USC. Prior to joining TransPak, David spent 18 years at Orora Packaging Solutions, advancing from a marketing intern to a member of the executive leadership team. He last led Orora’s M&A group and had P&L responsibility for a six-location, 500-employee packaging distribution acquisition. David lives in Northern California and spends his time outside of work with his wife and two boys (and at the CrossFit gym).
Dan Sowell has been with TransPak since 2009 and serves as the VP of Global Engineering, where he leads TransPak’s global Design Engineering Team. An industry vet with over 48 years of experience, Dan pioneered the now industry-standard for closed-loop packaging use in the data center deployment space.
In addition to his BS in Economics from San Francisco State University, Dan is a Certified Packaging Professional per IoPP, holds a Global Supply Chain Management Certificate from Rutgers University, and holds a Certificate in Engineering Leadership from Cornell University. Before joining TransPak, he spent 26 years as the owner and CEO of a successful packaging and crating company, bringing unparalleled experience and expertise to TransPak’s operation.
